Baby Tooth Extraction

Primary (baby) teeth sometimes need extraction when they are severely decayed, infected, overcrowding the dental arch, or failing to fall out naturally to make way for the permanent tooth.

Our paediatric-trained clinicians are experienced in managing young patients' anxiety and making extraction procedures as calm and pain-free as possible — using topical anaesthesia before any injection and a gentle, reassuring manner throughout.

When a baby tooth is removed early, a space maintainer may be recommended to hold the space open for the permanent tooth and prevent neighbouring teeth from drifting.
